The families and teachers at MCS are a community, and we work together as a co-operative to contribute to school life in whatever way best serves the interests of the children. The parents also share responsibility for all aspects of the school's functioning, from the administration to the cleaning.
One vital part of the school’s functioning is the role of the roster parents. Every week of the school term a representative from each family attends the school for half a day. This helps to forge community bonds between the parents, students and teachers as well as provide assistance in the classroom.
In short, MCS is literally run by the parents. It requires commitment, but then how much importance do you place on your child’s primary school years?
